Minehead – The Gateway To Exmoor

Minehead is the perfect base to explore the West Country. It is considered to be the Northern Gateway to Exmoor.

Around and About

Why not take a nostalgic ride back in time, through the varied and beautiful countryside, on the West Somerset Railway.

The West Somerset Railway is the longest heritage railway in the country, running from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard.

The medieval village of Dunster with it’s Castle, Yarn Market, Tithe Barn and a wealth of listed buildings is a favourite place to visit for many tourists.

A bit further afield are the picturesque towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. Enjoy stunning views of exmoor as you glide up and down the cliff railway.

Or you may just want to relax on the beach! Just a short walk from the seafront is Blenheim Gardens. These beautiful gardens are open all year with a bandstand and wide variety of free entertainment during the summer months. There is also a putting green to enjoy.
